This mountain chalet is located in Avoriaz, chemin des Ardoisières. This french ski resort village was developped through the 1970th in the Alps by a group of young architects influenced by wood constructions in California. It was a resort village without cars, high in altitude, and mainly built with concrete recovered with red cedar. The plot of this chalet presented a very important slope so its architecture was studied with clay model. Roofs were formed to retain the snow, and the general organic form was that of a tatoo animal.
