Project of a hotel with 162 rooms Novotel program - Accor for AGF-Cameroon, investor and developer in the city center of Douala. The conference center meets strong local demand and complete the program.
The facade on the main street is composed in a very urban way, on a base of two levels, six floors of rooms and two floors of penthouse crowned with a large shield.
The very heavy rainfall in the city of Douala has influenced the design of the building to ensure its perennity: wide eaves, double glazed and ventilated walls, self washable facades and warm color materials ensure a smooth integration of the building in the velum of Douala. The compactness of the ground plan enables the creation of differentiated gardens.
The architects have searched to match the building with the objectives of Environmental Quality (hotel standard) for energy consumption items, water management, certification of materials.
