The wine cellar project developed on a hill facing the village of Pierrefeu, sits on a very exceptional site, in height, with beautiful views of the vineyards and agricultural landscapes Var.
The soil consists of fractured shales in impressive amount on the site, and is the iconic material of the proposed structure: the shales are used to fill gabions and form facades on different levels of terraces. Green roofs and large overhangs protect the entire south, and allow maximum architectural integration into the site.
The project found her sitting on two main terraces, and allows wine by gravity operation since the arrival of the harvest to the vats and wine shop.
